To rent a vehicle from Wander Manual, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 for certain vehicle categories)
• Hold a valid full driving licence for at least 2 years
• Provide valid identification and proof of address
• Have a valid credit or debit card for payment and security deposit
• Meet our credit and insurance requirements

4. Booking and Reservations

4.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made through our website, phone, or in person. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation.

4.2 Payment Terms

• Full payment or authorisation is required at the time of booking
• A security deposit may be held on your payment card
• Additional charges may apply for extras, damage, or violations

4.3 Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup
• Cancellations within 24 hours may incur charges
• No-shows will be charged the full rental amount

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

5.1 Permitted Use

Rental vehicles may only be used for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to:

• Operate the vehicle safely and responsibly
• Comply with all traffic laws and regulations
• Use the vehicle only for personal or business purposes
• Return the vehicle in the same condition as received

5.2 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Using the vehicle for racing, rallying, or competitions
• Transporting illegal substances or materials
• Subletting or lending the vehicle to others
• Smoking or vaping in the vehicle
• Transporting pets without prior approval
• Off-road driving (unless specifically permitted)

6. Insurance and Liability

6.1 Standard Coverage

All rentals include basic insurance coverage as required by UK law. Additional coverage options are available for purchase.

6.2 Renter Liability

You are responsible for:

• Any damage to the vehicle not covered by insurance
• Traffic fines, parking tickets, and violations
• Loss or theft of vehicle keys
• Fuel costs and cleaning fees
• Administrative fees for processing violations

6.3 Excess and Deductibles

Standard rentals include an excess amount that you will be liable for in case of damage or theft. Excess reduction options are available for purchase.

7. Damage and Incidents

In the event of an accident, breakdown, or theft, you must:

• Contact emergency services if required
• Notify Wander Manual immediately
• Complete an incident report
• Not admit fault or liability
• Cooperate with insurance investigations

8. Return Conditions

Vehicles must be returned:

• At the agreed time and location
• With the same fuel level as at pickup
• In a clean and undamaged condition
• With all accessories and documentation

Late returns may incur additional charges. Early returns do not qualify for refunds unless specified in your rental agreement.

9. Pricing and Additional Charges

9.1 Rental Rates

Rental rates are quoted per day, week, or month and include VAT. Rates may vary based on vehicle type, rental duration, and seasonal demand.

9.2 Additional Fees

Additional charges may apply for:

• Additional drivers
• One-way rentals
• Airport pickup/delivery surcharges
• Out-of-hours service
• GPS navigation and child seats
• Cleaning fees for excessive dirt or odours

10. Data Protection and Privacy

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wander Manual's liability is limited to the rental charges paid. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or business interruption.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your rental will be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or pandemics.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
